How it works

A simple three-step process so every spot goes to someone who's ready to commit.

01

Apply for free

Tell us about your background and goals. It takes about two minutes — no payment required.

02

I review your application

Every application is personally reviewed to keep the cohort small and focused. You'll hear back by email.

03

Approved? Reserve your spot

If you're in, I'll email you a Stripe invoice for the $595 training fee to lock in your place.

What you'll walk away knowing

Five weeks of hands-on training built around Anthropic's official Claude courses — then a group practice exam so you're ready to sit the CCAR-F exam. Every week you build, not just watch.

Build with the Claude API

Messages, prompting, tool use, and streaming — the core building blocks the exam expects you to know.

The Model Context Protocol (MCP)

What MCP is, why it matters, and how Claude connects to tools, data, and your own systems.

Claude Code in action

Use Claude Code to build, debug, and ship real projects — the practical, hands-on heart of the cohort.

Agent Skills & agentic systems

Build reusable Agent Skills, wire up subagents, and orchestrate agentic workflows — the exam's largest domain.

Exam-ready confidence

Know exactly what the CCAR-F exam covers, take a full group practice exam, and walk in prepared.

A toolkit you keep

Leave with repeatable workflows and reference projects you can reuse long after the cohort ends.

Maybe skip it if…

Week by week

  1. Week 1Aug 24

    Build with the Claude API

Messages, tool use, prompt engineering (few-shot, explicit criteria), and structured output with JSON schemas — the foundations the exam leans on heavily.

  2. Week 2Aug 31

Introduction to the Model Context Protocol (MCP)

Designing clear tool interfaces and structured error responses, then building real MCP servers (tools, resources, prompts) and wiring them into Claude Code and agent workflows.

  3. Week 3Sep 7

    Claude Code in action

Context management, custom workflows, hooks, and the Claude Code SDK — capped off with a quick Introduction to Agent Skills.

  4. Week 4Sep 14

    Agentic Architecture & Orchestration

Designing agentic systems with the Claude Agent SDK — subagents, multi-agent orchestration, tool integration, hooks, and prerequisite gates.

  5. Week 5Sep 21

Context, reliability & structured output + practice exam

Managing context, keeping agents reliable, and structured-output extraction with validation-and-retry loops — plus a full review across all five exam domains and a group practice exam, then you register for the real CCAR-F exam*.

* The CCAR-F exam is a separate $125 fee, paid directly to Anthropic, and is taken after the cohort.

Common questions

Got questions?

Still have a question? Email claude@keysoft.tech and a real person will get back to you.

What exactly is this cohort?

A live, five-week cohort that covers everything the CCAR-F exam tests — the Claude API and prompt engineering, MCP and tool design, Claude Code and Agent Skills, and agentic architecture with the Claude Agent SDK — through live sessions, weekly labs, and daily build challenges. We finish with a group practice exam, and you register for and sit the Claude Certified Architect – Foundations (CCAR-F) exam after the cohort.

Why do I have to apply instead of just paying?

I keep each cohort small and focused, so I personally review every application to make sure it's a good fit. It also means you're never charged anything unless you're accepted.

What is the $595 for, exactly?

The $595 reserves your spot and covers your training in the cohort. The certification exam itself is a separate $125 fee paid directly to Anthropic — it is not included in the $595.

What do I keep after the cohort ends?

Your access is for life. As the CCAR-F exam is updated over time, I refresh the training and you always get the latest version — at no extra cost — so your certification prep never goes stale. You also stay in the Keysoft Claude Community for good — we gather in Slack and meet in person at monthly Atlanta meetups. Certify once, stay current for good.

Where does the cohort take place? Do I have to be in Atlanta?

Every live session — the Monday kickoff, the Wednesday labs, and Friday office hours — can be attended in person in Atlanta, GA or joined live online, and each one is recorded. I'm primarily looking for people in the Atlanta area, but I'll consider strong remote applicants too — just share your location and background in your application.

Which certification does this prepare me for?

The Claude Certified Architect – Foundations (CCAR-F) certification. The curriculum is built around what that exam covers.

Do I need to be a developer?

Some technical comfort helps. The cohort is aimed at developers and technical builders preparing for the CCAR-F exam, but motivated learners who can keep up with the pace are welcome to apply.

What's the time commitment?

Each week (August 24 – September 25, 2026) has a live Monday kickoff, daily self-paced build work, a hands-on Wednesday lab (11 AM–1 PM ET, in person in Atlanta or virtual), and optional Friday office hours. Plan on a few hours of live time plus your own study between sessions. Week five wraps with a group practice exam, and you sit the real exam afterward.

What's the consulting opportunity?

Keysoft, my AI consultancy, is building a Claude practice. Cohort members who pass the CCAR-F exam become candidates for our talent bench and may be hired onto client engagements as work comes in.

How long until I hear back?

I review applications regularly and reply by email. Keep an eye on your inbox (and spam folder) for your decision and, if you're approved, your Stripe invoice.

Get certified. Get on the bench. Get hired.
